KIDS ARE BUILT TO DREAM.
Dreams inspire behaviors that foster growth.
WE BUILD RESILIENCE
In The World’s Most Vulnerable Children.
And builds in them the RESILIENCE and CONFIDENCE they need
to pursue those dreams in HOPE of a happy life.
Our CREATIVE EXPRESSION SESSIONS™ use evidence-based techniques to inspire positive thinking using words and pictures.
Our five themes help develop a child’s sense of gratitude, self-competence, community and the importance of having goals — some of the essential pillars of resilience.
Our TALK, WRITE, DRAW and SHARE format “activates behavior” and provides a structure and predictability that youth find comfort in.
Our facilitator guides are easy to follow and require no training, so any facilitator, at home, in a school, church or club can pick up and go! Our program includes over 20 hours of fun and effective curriculum.
The Problem
There are over 50 million refugee and migrant kids in the world today, what UNICEF calls “kids on the run.”
20 million kids in the U.S. suffer from depression, anxiety, ADHD and behavior problems. 11 million live in poverty.
A major cause of toxic stress in refugee kids is the fear of being alone and forgotten— of being invisible to the outside world. SAVE THE CHILDREN
Toxic stress can lead to a lifetime of poor mental and physical health. Resilience buffers toxic stress. AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS
Resilience Can
Be Developed
Resilience is not just a state of mind, a test of inner strength. Rather, resilience grows when positive thinking meets a supportive community. Resilience can be developed.
WE BUILD RESILIENCE
Our Creative Expression Sessions inspire positive thinking. We give kids visibility and sense of identity by displaying their work in art shows. We turn their drawings into a PATTERN OF HOPE that may be placed on products like coffee cups, tee-shirts and school backpacks for use in fundraising.
We make INVISIBLE KIDS, VISIBLE.
Kids Are Kids
Whether they’re on the run in the Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia or the United States, three things are clear — KIDS ARE KIDS, they need to be resilient, and they need our help.
